The Future of Housing

THE HOUSING MARKET

Quick glance

  • The current gap in supply and demand in
the United States needs an estimated 3.8
to 5.5 million single family homes and 325,000 multifamily housing units a year to
    catch up with existing demand.
  • The inadequate housing market
a crisis of 1.6B without adequate housing by 2025,
    the World Bank reports
  • The world needs to build 96,000 new affordable homes every day to house the
estimated 3 billion people who will need access to adequate housing by 2030, UN
    Habitat reports
  • Conventional methods unable to close the gap, gap continues to widen.
  • Robotics are the wave of the future.
  • Your Tribe is among those in need of many quality homes.
  • From an economic development stand point, it is good business for the Tribe to
build or help build their own homes and to also become a product/home seller.
  • Housing is an age old, ever growing, never ending market
a good market to be a
    suppler in.

Shelter a fundamental need “A world where everyone has a decent place to live”… Habitat’s mission statement

  • There is not a single county in the United States in which an individual can
afford to own a single bedroom residence working full time on minimum
    wage. NLIHC.org
  • Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs,
    American psychologist Abraham Maslow
points out that before a human can become self actualized
(becoming all that one can be) one must have some basic needs
met, one is that of shelter, it is exciting to envision a world with many
folks relieved of the burden of shelter and striving for self
    actualization.

Our 4 Solutions

  1. 3D PRINTED HOMES for building subdivisions
  2. FACTORIES built on Tribal lands for building trusses and homes
  3. MICRO MANUFACURING PLANTS for manufacturing large building blocks
  4. EDUCATION teaching tribe members to be builders

THE THREE HOME BUILDING OPTIONS INCLUDE

  • Superior insulation
  • IRC
    –(International Residential Code) compliant
  • Excellent Energy Star ratings, HERS rating less than 30 (we can achieve net
zero as well) thus inexpensive to heat & cool
  • 4 hour fire resistant rating
  • Tornado, hurricane & earthquake resistant
  • Vermin resistant walls
  • No siding required
  • No drywall on interior walls

THE THREE HOME BUILDING OPTIONS INCLUDE

  • No exterior or interior paint required on walls
  • Adobe floors as an option (dust free & as hard as a pine wood floor)
  • Recycled EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) partially used in construction
  • Biological material partially used, we
    can GROW homes Mycelium
  • Straw bale can be incorporated in the build
  • Equity earning due to type of well built construction
  • LEEDS credits
  • ASTM compliant
  • Opportunity to be the leading EPS recycler in every region that we
    operate in see next slide

EPS a major pollutant that we repurpose into quality homes.

    foam and ocean
    pollution/
  • The problems with polystyrene
  • EPS foam is a single
impact material with no market for recycling . As a
result, polystyrene products are quickly discarded and make their way
onto beaches and into landfills. Single use Styrofoam items find their
way into the environment at high volumes EPS represents 30% of
    all landfill space by volume.
  • Due to polystyrene’s physical properties it is a perfect pollutant. Its
lightweight composition and buoyancy allow EPS to easily float and
travel far distances and all roads lead to the ocean. Research shows
that 80% of all ocean pollution originates from the land, which points
to toxic, land based EPS trash as the primary culprit.

Recycling a major problematic material

  • Every year, the United States uses EPS (Expanded Polystyrene
Foam, or packing foam) in amounts to circle the world 426 times,
of which only 5% is currently being repurposed.

FACTORIES on Tribal lands – 2 programs

Both options include/offer:

  • Production of a sellable to the general public product
  • Incorporation of some robotics in the build process
  • Small Factories placed on an individual Tribal member’s parcel of
land, 40’x50’ big enough to produce “ WHIMBY ” homes, operated by
a single Tribal member who joins our national network of dealers.
    Visit www.whimby.co for more information.

Modest Factory placed on community Tribal land, 75’x150’ operated
by the Tribe with the intended use to produce:

  • WHIMBY homes
  • Conventional size modular homes
  • Trusses for Tribal home options and for sale to the general public

Factories transportation & setting division

  • Equipment could be hired or purchased
  • To strive for vertical integration, either factory option will require:
    • A transportation element to deliver the products produced WHIMBYs, trusses, conventional modular home sections.
    • A crane to set the trusses and the homes.

MICRO MANUFACURING PLANTS Production at scale of CICFs (HEUER BLOCK)
Composite Insulated Concrete Forms

Known qualities and attributes & why build with CICF construction and HEUER BLOCKs

  • Composite is the “C” in CICF. Our composite is a cementitious material, which
    attributes include;
  • 4 hour fire rating
  • Vermin resistant
  • Chemical bond for our stucco exterior finishes
  • Chemical bond for our plaster interior finishes
  • Includes all the positive, historical, proven qualities as any ICF
  • Easy to build with like “Legos” just bigger, with excellent keyed connections,
facilitating superior assembly and extreme low air loss
  • Interior “screen grid” of structural concrete, less concrete required while still
achieving superior structural needs and 2012 IRC code compliancy
  • Requires no siding, no drywall & no paint on walls, saving on time and money
  • Reduce material and labor requirements,
    ideal Leasing/Distribution/Building model
as material and labor costs are on the rise and skilled labor is on the decline.
  • Heuer Blocks are technically simple to use , low weight, s tack easily with a
proprietary keyway design, all of which allowing unskilled persons/volunteers to be a viable labor force
  • Extremely energy efficient,
    R 3.5 per inch
  • Create extremely strong
    structures
  • Do not offgas
  • Reduces time to complete a build project
  • Recycles a major problematic material
  • Excellent choice for DIY and contractors
  • Excellent profits, we can provide upon request a proforma on the attractive profitability of block sales to the general public

EDUCATION

  • We offer a proven curriculum teaching newbies, as well as those
    already in the field
  • Custom teaching programs available
  • We can teach folks to be;
    • Builders/labor force for the general building of a home, whether to assist the 3D printed homes, WHIMBY & factory homes, CICF block homes
    • General Contractors
    • Building instructors
    • Specialty sub contractors (excludes those requiring a license IE: plumber &
      electricians);
*excavators *concrete *cabinetry *wall builders *truss builders *CICF block manufacturing
      *framing doors windows

COMMUNITY

  • Our teaching curriculum is based with the help of community as our
primary labor force, we embrace our community builders and
    volunteers.
  • As with Habit for Humanity, we understand that both, the to be home
owner and the volunteers helping on the build, are equally our
    clients, of whom we honor.
  • The emotional benefit to humans is pointed out in Maslow’s
hierarchy of needs, in the third level of his pyramid, the section he
refers to as “Love and Belonging

Love and Belonging

that our homes are of SUPERIOR quality in which we take great pride
in being able to build/provide everlasting homes that require very low
    maintenance and operating costs.
  • Our home prices will be comparable to those of “ and
perhaps some modular and conventionally site build homes, however
it is important to note that the quality of and the many other benefits
& attributes to owning one of our homes should be considered.
    • The best quality
    • The best price
    • Right now………………we strive to provide all 3… It is not often that when purchasing an item the buyer gets all 3 of these
